The Polish Tourism Organisation (POT), fulfilling the tasks defined in the Act on the Polish Tourism Organisation, undertakes a wide range of activities to promote and develop tourism in Poland. POT promotes Poland as an attractive, modern travel destination offering high-quality services at competitive prices, carrying out its promotional efforts both domestically and abroad. The Organisation coordinates national stands at major tourism fairs in Poland and worldwide, where exhibitors include representatives of the tourism sector and local governments. It also hosts study visits for foreign journalists and tour operators, presenting Poland’s tourism potential and contributing to international media coverage and new travel offers featuring Poland.
POT works closely with regional and local tourism organisations to increase interest in Polish cities, regions, and tourism products among domestic and international travellers. As part of this cooperation, it organises seminars, training sessions, and promotional events. The Organisation publishes materials about Poland in 12 languages, promoting active, business, and spa tourism, showcasing the attractions of Polish cities and regions—including UNESCO heritage sites—and presenting a wide variety of highlights that may inspire potential visitors. POT also analyses global tourism trends in cooperation with international organisations, helping to define priorities for Poland’s tourism development. In addition, it continues to expand the operations of its Conference and Congress Bureau, which aims to strengthen Poland’s position in the dynamic global business tourism market. Finally, the Polish Tourism Organisation operates the Internet Tourism Information System (ISIT), supporting access to reliable and up-to-date tourist information.
